They are Kyuubi Naruto, Kakashi, and Orochimaru. Each of them is only unlocked in single player on any difficulty.
Kyuubi Naruto- Play as Naruto and transform into Kyuubi using Up + Special. Do this five times to unlock him as a character.
Kakashi- Play as the original team 7. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, beating them game once with each of them.
Orochimaru- Play as all 5 starting characters twice each. Naruto x2, Sasuke x2, Sakura x2, Rock Lee x2, and Neji x2.
Extreme Mode- Beat the game on all other difficulties at least once.
